Over the last year (2009) we undertook a consultation to find out how you would like us to improve the children’s play and teenage facilities at the Jenny Lind Park.
Those who we consulted included local children, young people, community groups, local residents, all of who provided comments and identified areas they would like to see improved.
We then took these comments and built them into a questionnaire to see whether these views and ideas were shared by the wider community.
These comments and the information that was returned back through this questionnaire have been very useful and we are using them to develop

Vision plan for Jenny Lind Park
We have taken the ideas and comments local residents, community groups, school children and other interested groups have given us and come up with a plan for Jenny Lind Park.
People in the area were written to and invited to make their comments on the plan by 29 June. An event was held at the Vauxhall Street Centre where people were given the opportunity to talk to us and share their views.
Work started on the park's transformation week commencing 9 November. It will cost around £300,000 and is expected to be completed by summer 2010.
