Green Spaces

Green space represents a significant proportion of Norwich and the council directly manages, or influences policy, for over 15% of the land area.

Eaton Park

The council is responsible for:

23 parks - with a total area of 131 hectares
95 open spaces - total area 59 hectares
Around 200,000 council owned trees
Mousehold Heath - total area 74.5 hectares
Around 50 natural areas and woodland sites - these include eight Local Nature Reserves (LNRs) and about 20 County Wildlife Sites (CWSs)
Floral displays and their sponsorship
78 equipped play areas
67 sports pitches, greens and courts
12 hard court multi-sport games areas
1,450 allotment plots on 18 sites - total area 43 hectares.
