Thousands of people filled the streets of Norwich over the weekend to take part in this year’s annual Lord Mayor’s Celebrations.
Dozens of events were held all around the city on Saturday and Sunday to mark the classic Norwich tradition, held every year for more than two centuries.
From rides, stalls and music in Chapelfield Gardens to thousands of plastic ducks racing down the river Wensum, the Norwich City Council-organised event featured something for everyone’s taste
But the highlight of the event was Saturday’s Lord Mayor’s Procession, with dozens of floats parading from Newmarket Road to Tombland, followed by evening street entertainment and music in the city centre and culminating with the traditional firework display.
