Consultation closed 19 February 2013.
We want to help people get involved in planning the future of Norwich and improve the opportunities for involvement.
The Statement of community involvement for Norwich is a planning document, which shows how and when we will involve different groups, organisations and the community in the process of producing new planning documents (the emerging Local Plan) and in assessing major planning applications.
Background to the revised Statement of community involvement
The council’s current Statement of community involvement was adopted in March 2010 and was prepared under previous planning regulations. Since then there have been significant changes to the planning system and the document has been revised to reflect the most up to date legislation and regulation changes. The revised statement proposes to streamline the approach to consultations and intends to provide greater flexibility in terms of dealing with future legislation changes.
We are now seeking your views on the revised draft document.
