On 6 April 2008, the national standard planning application form (1APP) was rolled out across the country. 1APP is now the only legal method of submitting application forms and old application forms are no longer accepted.
1APP have standard questions, style and layout nationally, making the planning system clearer for planning professionals and users alike. Completing and submitting applications will be quicker and easier.
Below are the 27 new 1APP forms in pdf format, with help notes, which can be downloaded and printed off. Forms are also available from the 2nd floor planning reception in City Hall. Please send the original plus 3 copies of your completed form plus all supporting plans and documentation to: Planning Services, Norwich City Council, City Hall, Norwich, NR2 1NH.

Online application forms
You can also submit your application via the Planning Portal website where forms can be completed electronically. You can create a site location plan, add attachments, calculate the fee (where required) and pay via a secure link to the council's online payments webpage.
