Norwich City Council operates two multi-storey car parks (1414 spaces) and 12 pay and display surface car parks (1257 spaces in total), most of which are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. See below for details.
Charges apply at all times, including bank holidays and public holidays.

Note: evening tickets in all of our car parks are valid through until 9am the following day.

The council also operates two multi-storey car parks providing 1414 spaces:
St Giles multi-storey car park

Free car parking
Blue badge holders may currently park free of charge on the following city council public car parks only. Please ensure that a valid badge and clock is clearly displayed in your vehicle.

Charges at other car parks
Normal charges apply to blue badge holders at all other city council public car parks.
Car park charges
If you are a car park user with a blue badge you get an hour’s free parking for every hour you buy.
- For pay and display car parks: The free additional time extends beyond the expiry time shown on the ticket.
- For multi-storey car parks: Please take your ticket to the kiosk for validation, prior to departure.
Allocated spaces with street level access are available in St Andrews and St Giles multi-storey car parks. Normal charges apply.
Car park security
The St Giles multi-storey car park is staffed throughout its opening times. Between 1am and 7am the car park is closed and locked.
St Andrews car park is staffed 24 hours per day.
Any problems that occur can be reported directly to the kiosk attendant or security guard. Also, there are yellow customer Help Points situated on all levels in the main stair core at St Andrews car park, and a yellow customer assistance freephone in the main foyer at St Giles car park, which will direct you through to an assistant who can provide help 24 hours a day.
All our pay & display car parks are patrolled regularly by uniformed parking attendants. There are closed circuit television cameras on several of our car parks that are linked to the city centre CCTV system. These are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Wherever you’re parking, always remember to check the tariff board, machine instructions and signs for the correct payment. If you fail to display a valid ticket or contravene the parking regulations you will be issued with a parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice).

Advertising opportunities in St Andrews and St Giles multi-storey car parks
Poster panels are available to hire at both the award winning St Andrews multi-storey car park and the conveniently located St Giles multi-storey car park.
Prices range from £80 to £150 per month excluding VAT at St Andrews and panels at St Giles are competitively priced at £40 to £50 per month, excluding VAT.
The hire period can be for as little as one month or as many as 12 months.
Poster panels are all AO size (46½ x 33 inches), with the exception of the panels on the entry/exit lane at St Giles, which are 60 x 40 inches.
