What can I put in my blue bin?

Yes please!

  • Paper eg newspapers, magazines, printer paper.
  • Steel and aluminium cans (rinsed out) eg food tins/cans (with lids inside), metal aerosol cans (with lids removed), all drinks cans.
  • All plastic bottles (rinsed out with lids removed) eg washing up liquid, milk containers (not Tetra Pak/cardboard style), fizzy drinks/squash, shampoo and conditioner, ketchup and other condiments, spray cleaners, bleach.
  • All cardboard eg large brown boxes, toothpaste boxes, food packaging.

No thanks!

  • Wrapping paper, envelopes, other plastics that aren’t bottle shaped eg yoghurt pots, margarine tubs.
  • Glass, general household refuse, garden waste, food waste, aluminium foil.
