Recycling bring banks
There are a number of bring banks in and around the city where you can bring your cans, glass, paper, plastics, shoes, textiles and tetra packs for recycling,
Mini recycling banks
There are also 10 mini recycling banks available in prime city centre locations where shoppers and passers by can drop off paper, cardboard, glass, cans, tins and plastic bottles for recycling. They can be found at the following places:
- Castle Meadow
- Cleveland Road
- St Benedicts Street
- Theatre Street
- St Andrews Street
- Upper St Giles Street
- Little London Street
- Norwich Bus Station
- Hay Hill/Weavers Lane
- Vauxhall Street.
Household waste recycling centres
Norfolk County Council runs all of the household waste recycling centres in Norfolk. There is one household waste recycling centre in Norwich located on located on Swanton Road.

Norfolk County Council operates reuse shops at six of Norfolk's recycling centres: Caister, Dereham, Hempton, Ketteringham, Kings Lynn and Mayton Wood.
The shops allow members of the public to drop off any household items that they think can be reused and allow them to purchase desirable items for a small fee ie car boot prices.

Opening hours for Swanton Road
The site is open seven days a week, including bank holidays, throughout the year, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
