[1] The City Centre Conservation Area was extended in October 1992 to cover the whole of the mediaeval City within the walls. The following Conservation Areas originally designated on 3 February 1970 were absorbed into the extended area:
All Saints Green
Bracondale/Finkelgate (part)
King Street
Magdalen Street/Colegate
St. Augustines
A further minor boundary change was made on 18 September 2003.

[2] Formerly known as Bracondale/Finkelgate

[3] Thorpe St. Andrew and Hellesdon Village Conservation Areas extend into Broadland District. The area given represents that portion lying within the City boundary.

[4] Formerly known as Ash Grove.
