Some early Christmas bin collections were not able to be made over the weekend due to the bad weather.
Chris Eardley, environmental services manager at Norwich City Council, said "The crews did their best, but due to snow and ice they were unable to complete all the rounds.
"Even where the major roads were passable many of the pavements were treacherous, and more so if you've got to drag full wheelie bins around as well. I have been in touch with CityCare over the weekend and I know they are doing the best job possible in the circumstances.
"Some roads are still impassable today, so we are advising residents who have not received a collection to leave their bins out and CityCare will get to them as soon as they can."
Residents are reminded to check their collection calendars for changes to their waste and recycling collection over the festive season.
Some collections will be made earlier in the run up to Christmas.
