Small community, voluntary and charitable organisations can get a one-off award of up to £250 from the Lord Mayor's Small Grants Fund.
Grants can be made towards specific costs of an activity, or project - such as printing costs, equipment or material - or for the purchase of small items of equipment.
Applicants should be small community or voluntary organisations or registered charities, based and working within the Norwich City Council boundary, and benefiting Norwich residents. They must have an income of less than £20,000 per year.
The Lord Mayor, Councillor Jeremy Hooke, said: "I am delighted to be able to help smaller organisations with these £250 grants."
The closing date for applications is Friday 20 March. Decisions on allocations of grants will be made the following week and applicants will be notified within two weeks.
Successful applicants will be invited to come to the Lord Mayor’s parlour for a small reception to receive their cheque between 27 April and 5 May 2009.
