The finishing touches are to be put to the essential resurfacing of Magdalen Road this weekend and the road is due to be completely reopened on Wednesday (20 May).
Minor remedial works are to be undertaken by the contractors whilst the Fye Bridge closure is in place and will take place on Sunday (17 May) and Monday (18 May). These works will be at no extra cost to Norwich City Council.
During the course of the work there will be another closure of Magdalen Street between Colegate and St. Saviours Lane. A diversion will be signed from Colegate and Fishergate via St. Saviours Lane to Magdalen Street. Sunday working is planned to try to minimise the impact of these works on local trade.
Norwich City Council apologises for any inconvenience these works may cause and would like to thank residents and businesses for their patience while these essential repairs are carried out.
