A dynamic Question Time style event for older people in Norwich is set to be held at Blackfriar's Hall, St Andrew's Plain on Friday 25 November.
Organised by the Norwich Older People's Forum (NOPF), the event, which promises to be lively, will see questions being levelled directly from the audience at local politicians.
Planned to be in attendance are Norfolk County Councillor Stephen Little, Norwich South MP Simon Wright, chief executive of Voluntary Norfolk Brian Horner and chief executive of Age UK Norwich Phil Wells.
Mr Wright addressed NOPF in August last year about a range of issues affecting older people and this will be a good chance to see what action has been taken since then.
Mr Little is a green councillor for Town Close ward and will address issues from the county council's perspective. Mr Horner and Mr Wells will be able to address issues on heath and social care including cuts proposed to Quality Assurance and grants to voluntary organisations.
Following the Question Time event, working group members will be elected for the coming year 2012-13. Anyone who would like to be part of the working group should contact Brent Pearson on 01603 213698.
The event will be held from 10am to 12.30pm. Free refreshments will be served on arrival.
