Work to resurface the Norwich outer ring road at the Earlham Road/Farrow Road roundabout, has been reprogrammed and will now take place from the evening of
Friday 20 April.
The work, part of Norwich City Council’s road maintenance programme, is anticipated to take the weekend to complete, weather permitting. The work was originally proposed for the weekend of 13 April but has been changed so as to not clash with a football fixture.
Earlham Road, Colman Road and Farrow Road will be temporarily closed to traffic at their junctions with the roundabout, with diversion routes signed for the duration.
While other areas of the ring road will be accessible, these closures and traffic controls are likely to cause delays and so we would suggest drivers consider using alternative routes, where possible, and allow extra journey time during this period. This essential work has been programmed over the weekend to minimise this potential disruption.
No parking within the working area will be available, however, pedestrians will still be able to use the paths and vehicle access will be available up to either side of the closure points.
The council would like to apologise for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.
The estimated cost of this work is £50,000.
