Work to resurface Farrow Road is to begin on Monday 4 July and is expected to last for five days.
The government has made extra funding available to treat roads adversely affected by the recent harsh winters. Some of this money has been allocated to resurface Farrow Road between Earlham Road and Guardian Road.
Guardian Road and Farrow Road’s southbound lanes will be closed Monday and Tuesday, and Farrow Road will be closed from Wednesday to Friday between Earlham Road roundabout and Guardian Road. Access will be only be available to and from Bowthorpe Road when surfacing is not taking place. The road will not be closed before 9.30am on working days
Diversion routes will be signed and access will be maintained for residents and businesses on Farrow Road. Pedestrian access past the work will be available at all times.
The work will cost £100,000 and is being carried out by May Gurney.
Every effort will be made to complete these works as quickly as possible and minimise disruption and inconvenience. Thank you for your co-operation while we work to improve our city.
