Celebrate the city and win a hamper full of goodies to show how much you love Norwich.
British Tourism Week runs from 12 to 20 March this year, and the Norwich Tourist Information Centre (TIC) has got some fun and helpful ways for you to get involved.
You can pop in to the TIC during the week and grab a competition form to be in with a chance of winning a hamper of exclusive I love Norwich merchandise.
Information manager at the TIC, Jane Ward, said: “All people need to do is identify each item or location - where or what is it? Sounds easy doesn’t it? But some of them are trickier than you’d think! It’s a bit of fun to get people exploring the city centre, so we hope lots of people take part.”
To mark the end of the week, a new guidebook will be launched to help people find their way around the city. Costing only £1 the booklet will be on sale in the TIC from Friday 18 March, and contains loads of helpful information about what to do in the city and some interesting historical facts you may not know. Plus, there are a series of walking trails that explore the city centre.
Norwich City Council leader and cabinet member for tourism, councillor Steve Morphew, said: “The cultural offer of Norwich is second to none and the opportunities for visitors to contribute to our economy are huge. We need to get the message out that Norwich is the place to come to have a short break or a longer holiday, whether you’re looking for a relaxing, lively or uplifting experience.”
