Welcome to Go For It! Enterprising Norwich.

If you live in Norwich, have got an idea for a business, want to get back to work or find a better job, then Go For It! Enterprising Norwich can help you.

The campaign is Norwich's Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) Programme, run by Norwich City Council, funding 12 partners across the city.

The programme aims to boost local enterprise, local incomes and local employment opportunities in the city.

In 2006, the council successfully bid for £11.2M of government funding to help people in Norwich start their own business, gain access to training to improve skills and confidence, and help people get back to work or find better jobs.

The funding lasts until March 2011 and has already been put to fantastic use.

In May 2008, The Norwich Enterprise Centre, located on 4B Guildhall, Norwich, opened as a free business advice centre and is the hub of the programme. It supports people to start up in business with free business advice and training. It also supports small businesses that have been running for two years or less. It can also provide referrals to our partners as well as other agencies.

We work with and fund a variety of partners in Norwich, who all share our goal – to encourage people to Go For It! All our partners work with local people and businesses to provide free support, training and advice. Working with individuals, our partners help people overcome barriers to prove that anyone can Go For It! whether it is starting up a business, getting back to work, or finding better quality employment.
