What's on the Big Screen for 2010?

The big screen, which hangs above the Chapelfield Plain entrance to the shopping centre, was officially launched on 24 August 2008 by former Olympian Paul Evans.

It is one in a network of 17 screens across the UK which was designed to broadcast the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Other broadcasts include national events covered by the BBC such as Wimbledon, Last Night of the Proms and Glastonbury, along with local content from community groups and organisations in Norwich.

The Cultural Olympiad Weekend 24 and 25 July

A wide range of cultural activities representing local culture will be taking place over this weekend and cultural groups are invited to become involved by providing activities such as interactive games, community theatre, come and try sports, and disability sports.

Applications are welcome from local not-for-profit organisations and individuals.
