Livestock Market
Norwich City Council is in dispute with the former tenant of the Livestock Market and regretfully all markets from this site are suspended until matters are resolved between the parties. The council apologises for any inconvenience occurring as a result of this essential action.
At the moment the council is assessing its options following the suspension. The public will be informed as soon as the most appropriate next steps are determined.
It is unlikely the site will be reopened within six months. The condition of the market, large debts accumulated by the previous tenant and the poor condition it has been left in all mean a lot of work needs to be done.
The council is very keen to see the livestock market continue for the city and hopes to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
