Opening times and charges

Norwich City Council manages 15 pay & display surface car parks, 1501 spaces in total, which are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Charges apply at all times, including bank holidays and public holidays.

The St Giles multi-storey car park, with 330 spaces, is open from 7.00am until 1.00am Monday to Sunday.

The St Andrews multi-storey car park with 1084 spaces is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Click here for more information about St Andrews.

Disabled parking

Blue badge holders may only park free of charge on the following city council public car parks. Please ensure that a valid badge and clock is clearly displayed in your vehicle.

Holders of the blue badge may park free of charge on the following city council public car parks only:

Monastery CourtWestwick Street

Allocated spaces, with street level access are available in St Andrews and St Giles multi-storey car parks. Normal charges apply.

Car park security

The St Giles multi-storey car park is staffed throughout its opening times. Between 1.00am and 7.00am the car park is closed and locked.

St Andrews car park is staffed 24 hours per day.

Any problems that occur can be reported directly to the kiosk attendant or security guard. Also, there are yellow customer Help Points situated on all levels in the main stair core at St Andrews car park, and a yellow customer assistance freephone in the main foyer at St Giles car park, which will direct you through to an assistant who can provide help 24 hours a day.

All our pay & display car parks are patrolled regularly by uniformed parking attendants. There are closed circuit television cameras on several of our car parks that are linked to the city centre CCTV system. These are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Wherever you’re parking, always remember to check the tariff board, machine instructions and signs for the correct payment. If you fail to display a valid ticket or contravene the parking regulations you will be issued with a parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice).

Advertising opportunities in St Andrews and St Giles multi-storey car parks

Poster panels are available to hire at both the award winning St Andrews multi-storey and the conveniently located St Giles multi-storey car park.

Prices range from £80 to £150 per month excluding VAT at St Andrews and panels at St Giles are competitively priced at £40 per month, excluding VAT.

The hire period can be for as little as one month or as many as 12 months.

Poster panels are all AO size (46½ x 33 inches), with the exception of three of the six panels at St Giles, which are 60 x 40 inches.
