Council Services
Home Options
Home Options is the new way that people can apply for social housing and access other housing options including shared ownership, private rented and key worker housing in the council areas of Broadland, Norwich and South Norfolk.
Home Options lets you apply for the housing option of your choice instead of having to wait for an offer from one of the three councils.
Home Options is a partnership between:
- Broadland District Council
- Norwich City Council
- South Norfolk Council
- Broadland Housing Association
- Orwell Housing Association
- Cotman Housing Association
- Orbit Housing Association
- Guinness Trust
- Wherry Housing Association
- Peddars Way Housing Association
- Saffron Housing Trust
- Hastoe Housing Association
- Places for People
- Habinteg Housing Association
All available properties will be advertised on the internet, through public access computers, on digital television and in a newsletter published weekly that you can pick up throughout greater Norwich. A range of other housing options will also be advertised.
You will then be able to tell us which properties you are interested in. This process is known as bidding. You may only bid for a property if your application has been accepted onto our housing register.
You can bid for properties in a number of ways:
- Online using the website - www.gnhomeoptions.org.uk
- Using our automated 24 hour phone hotline
- By sending us a text message
- Through digital television
- By using one of the public access computers
