Lord Mayor's Weekend celebration 2023

Take part in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Weekend, 7 to 9 July

A carnival atmosphere and community spirit will fill the streets of Norwich when Lord Mayor’s Weekend takes place this summer, from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 July.

We want to show off the best of what Norwich has to offer - the Lord Mayor’s Procession returns with the theme ‘Sights of the City’, with the annual carnival parading through the city centre featuring an array of talent. Expect acrobats, dancers, music and spectacular displays to wow the crowds.

Early plans for 2023 include unmissable musical performances, entertainment and food offerings - the whole weekend is set to be a feast for the senses.

  • The City Hall Stage will play host to Voices of the City, featuring superstar singers, poets, comedy and beatboxers.
  • Sounds of the City, taking place in Chapelfield Gardens, will showcase local musical talents, interactive family shows, and a funfair.
  • Tastes of the City will serve up the finest selection of tasty treats, from Bao Buns to Burgers, Seafood to Sundaes, with an array of food to suit all tastes.

Join the party

Could your school, community group or business be part of the city’s biggest street party?

All entrants will be asked to embrace the ‘Sights of the City’ theme – the more imaginative the better.

The deadline for applications is Friday 16 June.
