As the food business operator, you have the right to appeal your food hygiene rating if you do not agree that it reflects the hygiene standards and management controls we found at the time of the inspection.
- Before you submit an appeal, please discuss your concerns with the inspecting officer who will explain how the rating was worked out.
- You have 21 days from the date you were notified of your rating to submit an appeal. This includes weekends and bank holidays.
- After you have submitted the form, the food safety manager will review your rating and notify you of the outcome within 21 days.
Once you have started, you must continue to the end and submit the form. Please note that you only have 10 minutes to fill out each page and you will not be able to come back to the form at a later time because your answers will not be saved.
