Annual meeting and AGM held on Wednesday 3 October 2018
Norwich Older People’s Forum (NOPF) held its annual meeting with AGM on Wednesday 3 October at The Halls (St Andrew’s Hall). The title of the meeting was Crossing the generations ; where young and old meet together. Students from The Garage, a centre for performing arts located in Norwich, led group discussions; we heard from organisations running intergenerational projects in Norwich and there was a wide range of information stalls. A full report of the meeting will be available on this page soon.
We are in the process of planning our future public meetings and will publish the details on this page once they are confirmed.
Purpose and aims of NOPF
The role of the Norwich Older People's Forum (NOPF) is to ensure that the voices of older people are heard and that they influence the way in which services are planned and delivered, maintaining and improving the wellbeing of older people living in and around Norwich.
We also aim to work effectively with Community Services and Health in raising the profile of older people’s needs in times when we are seeing serious reductions in public service budgets.
Some of the organisations now working with NOPF are Age UK Norwich, Healthwatch Norfolk, NHS Norwich Clinical Commissioning Group, Carers Matter Norfolk, Norwich City Council, Norfolk County Council’s Library Service, Norfolk Deaf Association and Norfolk Independent Care.
