Established in October 2011, the board’s key objectives are to promote collaborative and new ways of working, identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies through joint service redesign, shared provision and better co-ordination of public service delivery.
The leader of the city council is the chair, in line with the civic leadership role, but importantly the Norwich locality board has been designed to be led by its members. These include representatives from county council, police, probation, representatives of the voluntary and business sectors, Norwich clinical commissioning group.
On this basis the terms of reference are relatively loose and membership remains under review and will be shaped as business dictates.
