Anyone can suffer from domestic abuse; which includes financial, emotional, psychological or sexual control and threatening behaviour, as well as physical violence and stalking. Abusers are current or former intimate partners or family members, including young people and adults. Domestic abuse affects people from all walks of life, of all ages, living in all areas of the UK. On average, one in three women and one in five men will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime.
Norwich City Council in partnership with local schools, community groups and partner organisations offers a range of awareness raising events and activities in the city, as part of the annual Norfolk wide campaign.
For information about the countywide campaign and how our partner organisations are getting involved, look at the Norfolk Says No web page on Norfolk County Council's website.
