Consultation closed: Northern area 20mph restrictions and road crossing/hump notice

Consultation closed 24 July 2018

This proposal will:

  • Install 20mph speed limits in multiple areas in the north of Norwich.
  • Install traffic calming on Constitution Hill consisting of 20mph roundels and speed cushions.
  • Install traffic calming on Woodcock Road consisting of replacing the existing pedestrian crossings with zebras on raised tables, 20mph roundels and speed cushions.

These proposals are to slow traffic, making the area safer and more pleasant for cyclists and pedestrians. The associated traffic calming on Constitution Hill and Woodcock Road is to encourage compliance with the speed restriction.

This scheme is part of the Transport for Norwich initiative to improve safety for all road users.
