Disabled adaptations for council tenants

If you have a disability, we can help you remain independent by providing specialist equipment and by adapting your home to suit your particular needs.

What is a disabled adaptation?

Adaptations make it easier and safer for a disabled person to stay in their home. They vary according to your needs and range from minor work, such as installing handrails, lever taps and door handles to major work, such as replacing a bath with a level access shower.

How to apply for a disabled adaptation

To apply for help with adaptations to your home: complete the Healthy homes form.

If you, or someone acting on your behalf, is unable to access the internet to complete the form please phone 0344 980 3333.
