Norwich City Council is committed to making sure the city is safe and clean and part of this includes looking at ways we can tackle air pollution.

Reducing emissions is an important part of improving air quality. You can find out more about air quality levels in Norwich and what we’re doing to improve these by visiting our air pollution pages.

Drivers in Norwich are required to do their bit by avoiding contributing unnecessary emissions by not leaving their engines running while waiting and reminded that ‘stationary idling’ is an offence under section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
