Improving our pedalways
Cyclists in Norwich are beginning to see the benefits of £14.1 million worth of funding across the city’s seven cycle routes, called 'Pedalways'.
The first wave of funding for the Cycle City Ambition project saw work begin on £5.7 million of improvements to Norwich’s eight-mile pink pedalway and the connections leading to it.
It is one of seven routes in the city’s cycle network and crosses the city from the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital and UEA, through the city centre, to Heartsease and Broadland.
The second wave of funding for the project saw the council secure an additional £8.4m of funding to make further improvements to cycle routes across the city.
Two of the other seven cycle routes to benefit from this grant include the yellow pedalway between Norwich International Airport and Lakenham and the blue pedalway from Sprowston to Wymondham.
For more information take a look at our application form and covering letter which sets out the detail of what’s involved in the yellow and blue pedalways.
