My Norwich

Update to using allotments from 19 July

We have a really active growing community in Norwich – people who get a lot of satisfaction in working individually and alongside others to grow produce and flowers.

The government has now removed Covid-19 restrictions, but as rates of the virus are increasing in Norwich, we ask that you please continue to help keep yourselves and others safe.

As well as following the usual allotment rules, you should:

  • stay at home/isolate if you or someone in your home has Covid-19 symptoms
  • maintain distance from others
  • keep hands clean and avoid touching your face
  • discuss measures to re-open site shops or host group activities with the allotment officer before going ahead – and these must be adequately risk assessed.

Maintaining plots

If you are finding your plot unmanageable, support is available, and advertised online, from volunteer groups such as Thorpe Helping Hands and Good Gym. Our digital sharing platform Lumi is a good place to find what support services might be available.

Bonfires

Please remember that bonfires are banned on the allotments from 1 April to 30 September. Please be considerate of your neighbours and do not burn any material on your plot.
