Norwich City Council election

On Thursday 4 May, there will be an election for one-third of the city’s councillors – one from each of the 13 wards.
Voting in this election is an important way for you to affect some of the local issues that matter most to you, as you are selecting the people who set council policies, determine the council’s budgets and raise neighbourhood issues.
To have your say, you will need to make sure you are registered to vote before Monday 17 April at 11:59pm.
You can then vote:
- by post – deadline to apply: Tuesday 18 April, 5pm
- at a polling station – on Thursday 4 May between 7am and 10pm
- by proxy
Voter ID
If you vote at a polling station, you will now need photo ID.
If you do not have photo ID from the government’s approved list, apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate by Tuesday 25 April, 5pm.
