Norwich City Council’s main offices and phone lines will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22 December and reopen on Tuesday 2 January.
Customer contact information for the Christmas closure period is as follows.
Council tenants and leaseholders who have a heating or hot water emergency on Christmas Day, after 1pm on Boxing Day or after 1pm on New Year's Day can call the out-of-hours number 01603 412180 (for all other times please call Gasway on 01603 258617).

Important information for customers making payments
Payments can be made however there will be delays with posting money to accounts over the closure period (e.g. customers paying rent, council tax, parking fines etc.).
This will mean that any recent payments made will not appear on accounts until the first week of January.
Waste and recycling collections
Householders in Norwich are reminded that there will be changes to waste and recycling collections in the city over Christmas and New Year.
Tourist Information Centre (TIC)
The TIC will close from 5:30pm on Saturday 23 December and will operate reduced opening times from Thursday 29 December to Saturday 30 December. Usual opening hours will resume from 9am on Tuesday 2 January. More details can be found at www.visitnorwich.co.uk
The Norman Centre will close from 2pm on Saturday 23 December and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday 2 January.
Riverside Leisure Centre
Please visit the leisure centre's website for opening times over the festive period.
The office closes at 4pm on Friday 22 December and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday 2 January. The Halls has a number of events planned over the festive period – these will be unaffected by the Christmas closure.
Car parking enforcement
Civil enforcement officers will be patrolling over the festive period so please be aware of on-street parking restrictions (this includes bank holidays).
