Latest business grant – the Christmas Support Payment – now open for applications

Published on Friday, 18th December 2020

A further life-line is being offered to Norwich businesses as the Christmas Support Payment – a grant for pubs which predominantly serve alcohol – is launched.

The Christmas Support Payment is a one-off grant of £1,000 to cover the period of 2-29 December for businesses described as ‘wet-led pubs’.

This funding, provided by government and administered by local councils, is for pubs in Tier 2 and 3 areas where food sales usually make up less than 50 per cent of their income.

If your pub business does not usually serve meals and is currently closed, or the main part of the business is closed but you’re offering click and collect or delivery, you can apply.

If your pub has increased its food offering and you’re currently taking more in food sales than 50 per cent, but would not have normally before coronavirus restrictions, you may still apply.

See more information and how to apply.

There are another two grants currently open, and more coming soon. Find out about these grants.
