Proposed changes to parking at Cavalry Ride

We’re proposing the following change to the parking arrangements at Cavalry Ride.

We would like to introduce a permit system so that only motor vehicles with a valid residents’ or visitors’ permit can park in this area.

  • This permit may be a physical permit or an electronic permit.
  • Where a physical permit is issued, it must be displayed, even if an electronic permit has also been issued.
  • Parking would be controlled 24 hours a day, Monday to Saturday.

If agreed, residents living at the following addresses can apply for a residents’ parking permit and/or a visitor permit..

  • 90–98 Mousehold Street
  • 1–15 Cavalry Ride

This proposal is part of a legal process under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. We are sharing it here so that residents and anyone affected can view the draft order, plan and supporting documents.

This consultation replaces the one previously published on 22 August 2025 as it no longer includes any properties on Don Pratt Court. Because this is a new proposal, any responses submitted to the previous consultation will not be considered.
