Interim Polling Review 2022

The Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013
Representation of the People Act 1983 Schedule A1

Interim Minor Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

The council is undertaking an interim review of its polling districts and polling places to review in time for the city council elections on 4 May 2023 in the following polling districts currently designated MA4/MA4A, MA5, MX3, TH3, TO5 and WE2/WE2A.

The next full review of polling districts and places will need to take place in 2024, which aligns with county division boundaries changes for the Norfolk County Council elections in May 2025.

The consultation period for this review commenced on 25 July and ended on 5 September 2022.

During this period, the council was seeking your views on the suitability of the polling stations to be used at the designated polling places and of their accessibility to electors who are disabled.

View the Acting Returning Officer's proposals for polling places and stations.

The existing arrangements and proposals are also available to view at Norwich City Council, City Hall, Norwich, NR2 1NH.

Details of all representations received are available for inspection.

The Polling District Review Working group meeting due to have been held on 9 September 2022, to consider the review proposals, has been postponed to Friday 4 November. Any recommendations will now be taken to the council meeting held on Tuesday 29 November 2022.

For any information about the review, contact the democratic and elections manager, Stuart Guthrie by emailing stuartguthrie@norwich.gov.uk or phoning 0344 980 3333.
