Closed consultation: Draft Greater Norwich Homelessness Strategy 2020-25

Consultation closed 1 June 2020

This draft strategy marked the fourth occasion that Broadland, Norwich City and South Norfolk Councils have worked together with local partners to develop a homelessness plan for the Greater Norwich area.

Greater Norwich is a place where agencies work together to support people who are, or may become homeless. By putting people at the heart of our service delivery we can create a wrap-around offer that helps people to take control of their own circumstances earlier, and stopping them from becoming homeless will be our main aim. This will provide people with a firm platform where their health and wellbeing, employment or training opportunities are either maintained or improved. This strategy is separate from our rough sleeping strategy.

This consultation gave residents, stakeholders and partners the opportunity to participate in the development of the new homelessness strategy by commenting on the evidence presented in the document, identifying any further evidence that would improve it, and identify any gaps in our homelessness services that the new strategy can address.

The Greater Norwich Homelessness Strategy 2020-25 has now been published following a consultation period in 2020 and approval from each council’s cabinet.
