Annual meeting and AGM on Wednesday 2 October 2019
You are warmly invited to the Annual Meeting with AGM for Norwich Older People’s Forum on Wednesday 2 October 2019 starting at 10am at The Halls (Blackfriars Hall), St Andrews Plain, Norwich, NR3 1AU
Our theme this year is Celebrating older people. There will be talks, activities, information stalls, a chance to meet others for discussion and the event will finish with a light buffet lunch.
We do hope that you will join us; there is no need to book a place or let anyone know you will be attending. All are welcome so do please bring your friends along.
Neighbourhood meeting on Wednesday 11 September 2019
Our next neighbourhood meeting will be held at Doughty’s Housing meeting room, 10 Golden Dog Lane, Norwich, NR3 1DH from 11am to 1pm.
There will be information stalls, short talks and activities with a light buffet lunch to follow.
There are a number of bus services that go along Magdalen Street. Golden Dog Lane can be reached from a small alley way off Magdalen Street just past the Kings Head Pub on the left in the direction out of the city. It is the street that borders the Colegate Car Park.
We hope you can join us.
Purpose and aims of NOPF
The role of the Norwich Older People's Forum (NOPF) is to ensure that the voices of older people are heard and that they influence the way in which services are planned and delivered, maintaining and improving the wellbeing of older people living in and around Norwich.
We also aim to work effectively with Community Services and Health in raising the profile of older people’s needs in times when we are seeing serious reductions in public service budgets.
Some of the organisations now working with NOPF are Age UK Norwich, Healthwatch Norfolk, NHS Norwich Clinical Commissioning Group, Carers Matter Norfolk, Norwich City Council, Norfolk County Council’s Library Service, Norfolk Deaf Association and Norfolk Independent Care.
Getting in touch and keeping in touch
NOPF would love to keep in touch with you. We hold four or five public meetings a year and can send you invitations to them by email or letter. If you have an email address we can also send you occasional emails with information about events, consultations and anything else that may be of interest to older people.
