LetNCC tenancy incentive scheme
LetNCC is the council’s private sector leasing scheme, designed to use privately leased and managed accommodation to house clients who are facing homelessness.
LetNCC accommodation is, by its nature, not permanent. Therefore, the LetNCC tenancy incentive scheme is designed to ensure a pathway for clients through LetNCC accommodation and into a secure tenancy via Home Options.
Priority banding can only be awarded upon written submission by the LetNCC team, with the referral to be agreed by the LetNCC team-leader and the decision to be made by a review panel.
Successful referrals, as agreed by the review panel, will be prioritised as follows:
Gold band
Families who have been LetNCC tenants for at least two years where the tenancy has been well managed, there have been no rent arrears or debts to the council and no matters of concern.
Silver band
Single clients and couples who have been LetNCC tenants for at least two years where the tenancy has been well managed, there have been no rent arrears or debts to the council and no matters of concern.
Clients that meet the Home Options qualifying criteria but have not been referred or do not meet the criteria for higher banding under the tenancy incentive scheme will be placed in the low need band, notwithstanding any other issues which may affect their banding in accordance with policy.
