Update: Bowthorpe courts reopen Monday 29 July

The tennis courts at Bowthorpe Park reopen on Monday following refurbishment and repainting. The courts are now part of the Norwich Parks Tennis scheme and operated by the National Tennis Association (NTA).

The multi-use games area (MUGA) remains a free facility which the council paid to have upgraded at the same time as the tennis courts (it needed resurfacing and painting) and will be a free facility to use.

Norwich Parks Tennis manages 21 hard courts and is run by our tennis operator NTA (National Tennis Association).

All of our tennis courts have recently been upgraded and refurbished through Government and LTA funding – this included resurfacing and colour coating the tennis courts at Harford, Alderman Walker and Bowthorpe. This funding included new posts, nets and access gates.
