We are proposing to:
- install a 20mph speed restriction in residential roads between Dereham Road, Waterworks Road, Heigham Street, Old Palace Road, Barn Road, Bowthorpe Road and Guardian Road.
- install three sets of speed cushions on Waterworks Road near Wensum Junior School and Hotblack Road.
These proposals are to slow traffic, making the area safer and more pleasant for cyclists, pedestrians and residents. The associated traffic calming on Waterworks Road is to encourage compliance with the speed restriction.
Comments or objections to the above order should be sent to the Director of Regeneration and Development (Ref LA/20mph Dereham Rd area) by emailing transport@norwich.gov.uk.
Deadline for comments is 16 July 2019.
This scheme is part of the Transport for Norwich initiative to improve safety for all road users.
