Proposed stopping up of highway at Cattle Market Street, Norwich.

It is proposed to extinguish the highway status of land and steps adjacent to St Peters House, Cattlemarket Street, Norwich.
The forecourt and steps at St Peters House, adjacent to Cattle Market Street, are in the view of the council as Highway Authority no longer required for highway purposes and is better suited to being part of the curtilage and use of the newly constructed residential development.
The proposed landscaping of this forecourt is subject to a separate planning application. The consequence of the stopping up and landscaping is that it would not be available for use by the public to use it to walk across. The alternative walking route would be via footpaths adjacent to Cattle Market Street and Rouen Road.
