About us
INTERACT is a multi-agency team comprised of six data controllers:
- Norwich City Council
- AgeUK
- OneNorwich (Health)
- Voluntary Norfolk
- Norfolk Citizens Advice Bureau (NCAB)
- Norfolk County Council
INTERACT provides proactive care and support for adults (18+) whose health and/or wellbeing are adversely affected by their housing situation or home environment and experience any of the following: frailty, multi-morbidity and/or complex needs.
To fulfil this purpose we need to process your personal data. The council and OneNorwich process your data under our public tasks. AgeUK, Voluntary Norfolk and NCAB process your data under legitimate interest. Any sharing between partners is done only with your consent.

What will we do with your data?
We use your data for receiving referrals from professionals, determining prior involvement with each agency, assessing the needs of the service user, and signposting or referring service users to services available.
We intend to keep your data for two years from the end of the INTERACT programme.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request access to your personal information and make a data protection request to:
- ask for errors to be corrected
- restrict how your information is used
- object to how it is processed
- request that your data is deleted.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.
What are the consequences of you not providing data?
Without processing your data we would be unable to provide you with any INTERACT services.
How will we share your data?
Information provided is shared with/between the above organisations.
Your data may be shared with Norfolk County Council and a pseudonymised version of the data with the University of East Anglia (UEA) for performance analysis.
Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
