Road closures for Lord Mayor's Weekend on 12 July

In agreement with Norfolk Police and the Norwich Safety Advisory Group, the following road closures and parking suspensions will apply:

9am – 11pm

  • Rampant Horse Street
  • Theatre Street
  • Brigg Street
  • Gentleman’s Walk
  • William Booth Street
  • Haymarket
  • Hay Hill
  • Millennium Plain
  • Orford Place

11am – 11pm

  • Chapel Field East
  • Chapel Field North
  • Ninians Court
  • Chantry Road
  • Coburg Street
  • Malthouse Road

Note: Residents will be allowed to exit only via these roads until midday.  After that, no vehicle access or movement will be permitted until 11pm. For emergency access, please contact a member of security at the road closure points.

Midday – 6pm

  • Gaol Hill
  • Guildhall Hill
  • Exchange Street
  • London Street
  • Little London Street
  • Lobster Lane
  • Bedford Street
  • Castle Street
  • Back of the Inns
  • Davey Place
  • White Lion Street (from 7pm)

2pm – 6pm

  • Bank Plain
  • Bank Street
  • Orford Street
  • Princes Street
  • St Andrews Street
  • St Georges Street (from the junction with St Andrews Street to the river crossing bridge)
  • Queens Street
  • Tombland
  • Upper King Street
  • Redwell Street
  • St Andrews Hill
  • Opie Street

Parking suspensions

All temporary, loading, pay and display, and disabled parking bays on the closed streets will be suspended.
