Charity Quiz 'N' Chips - Wednesday 26 October, 7pm
Back by popular demand, we are holding another Quiz 'N' Chips evening in aid of the SOS Bus, so please get a team together, swot up on your general knowledge and enjoy a delicious fish & chip supper, all in the name of charity.
Venue: OPEN Youth Trust, doors open at 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start, fully licensed bar and raffle.
Tickets: £10 adv, max. 8 per team, available via the Eventbrite website and include a fish & chip supper (or vegetarian alternative) - please state when booking.
The winning team will receive tickets to see a gig at OPEN - further details to be announced..

Christmas Charities Fair - Sunday 5 November, 10am to 2.30pm
Local charities will be selling crafts, gifts and Christmas cards at GreenAcres Colney, Watton Road, Norwich, NR4 7TY. Free entry.
The Norwich Film Festival - Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 November
Back for a sixth year, we have some fantastic things on offer for film lovers/filmmakers from screenings of our officially selected films to panel discussions with those in the film business. We are also thrilled to be screening Light Years (plus Q&A) and My Feral Heart (Plus Q&A – along with a donation of ticket sales going to NANSA from this screening). Norwich Sleep out 2016 - Friday 11 November
If you want to take yourself out of your comfort zone whilst supporting The Benhamin Foundation, a charity working in Norfolk and Suffolk, this is the event for you! This will be our second large scale Sleep Out to highlight the issue of homelessness and raise money to support our work with local homeless young people. This event will never replicate the hardship faced by those who are homeless. However, we want the event to bring to life the challenges of sleeping outside.
The venue is Marsh Ltd, Queens Road, Norwich, NR1 3QQ and we will be sleeping in their car park. The event starts on Friday 11 November and ends at 7am the following morning. Norwich Older People’s Forum - Wednesday 16 November, 10.15am and 1.30pm
The Forum is joining with Age UK Norwich to hold another of its successful neighbourhood meetings at Pilling Park Community Centre, Pilling Park Road, Norwich, NR1 4PA
There will be speakers and fun activities to try out like Zumba Gold and New Age Kurling, and you will also have the chance to discuss issues that affect older people. Refreshments on arrival and a light lunch will be served later.
Everyone is most welcome, but Norwich Older People’s Forum is particularly keen for older people living to the east of the city to attend. No need to book a place or let anyone know you will be attending, just turn up if you can and please feel free to bring along your friends and neighbours.

Recycle the Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers Way – A Winter Family Event – Saturday 12 November, 10am to 1pm
Learn how to recycle old knitting needles, odd bits of wool and fabric, plastic bags etc. Admission is free to the event and there will be a Christmas Stall, Craft, Raffle, Tombolas. Lorna’s Jewellery, Carol’s Books and Jigsaws and Charles’ Emporium selling second-hand DVDs and CDS, and much more. On the stage there will be a variety of activities including Storytelling, Music and ‘An Audience With’ some of the Charities we support.

UEA Choir and Symphony Orchestra performance - 18 November, 7.30pm
The University of East Anglia Choir and Symphony Orchestra will perform three celebrated Russian masterpieces on Friday 18 November at 7.30pm in St Andrews Hall, Norwich.
Comprising students, staff and members of the local community, the 160-strong choir and 70-strong orchestra will perform: Mussorgsky’s unsettling Pictures at an Exhibition; music from Rachmaninov’s orthodox masterpiece, Vespers (or All-Night Vigil); and scenes from Mussorgsky’s grand rendition of Boris Godunov. Keel Watson (bass) will also be joining them.
