Environmental permits
Under the Pollution Prevention and Control Act 1999, some industrial premises need an environmental permit to operate.
There are three types:
- IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control)
- LA-IPPC (Local Authority IPPC)
- LAPPC (Local Authority Pollution Prevention and Control)
Apply or notify
- Apply for a Part A2 permit
- Apply for a Part B permit
- Notify us of a change
Fees and processing
- Applications are processed within 14 days of receiving payment.
- Decisions are made within 4 months. If refused, you’ll be notified and can appeal.
