Norwich City Council is carrying out improvement works to St Andrews car park from 21 April, which will see a temporary reduction in the number of spaces available.

The health and safety works will take place at the car park in Duke Street until mid-June and will mainly affect parking spaces on the top level of the car park (192 spaces not available), although some spaces on every level apart from Level 1 will also be out of use.

People who normally park at St Andrews are being advised to use Rose Lane or St Giles car parks while the works take place if St Andrews car park is full.

Those with season tickets for St Andrews car park will be able to use these at the city council’s Rose Lane car park instead.

Graham Nelson, executive director of development and city services at the council, said: “We would like to thank everyone in advance for their patience while this important work is carried out at St Andrews car park.

“We understand parking elsewhere in the city may not be as convenient, but we expect these works to have finished by mid-June, when all spaces in St Andrews will be back in use.”

The £1.23m health and safety improvement works were agreed at the city council’s cabinet meeting in November last year.
