Accessible public toilets

Most accessible toilets require a RADAR key (also known as the NKS or national key scheme); these keys can be used for any RADAR key toilet nationally

Changing Places are accessible toilets with enhanced facilities for disabled users, these include a range of enhanced features such as a large room, toilet with rails, changing bench, ceiling hoist and shower. There are four in Norwich.

  • Vauxhall Community Hub — located near the city centre; operated by Independence Matters: 0300 790 0508. Out of hours access is via an external door with RADAR key at Johnson Place
  • NNUH Hospital; Colney Lane Norwich — located in the Radiology department, Outpatient’s east block, on level 2. No RADAR key required

Available during business hours

  • Chantry Place, 40-46 St Stephens Street — located on the dining terrace (access via escalators or lift)
  • Castle Quarter Norwich — located near the Cattlemarket Street pedestrian entrance / Level J (on same floor as Ground level from Castle Meadow or Cattlemarket Street)
