Restart Grants / Local Restrictions Support Grant (National Lockdown Cycle 2) application form

This form is for any business that is registered for business rates at a trading property in Norwich and was either: 

  • Forced to close between 16 February and 28 March 2021 due to coronavirus restrictions 

or

  • From 1 April 2021 and once Covid-19 restrictions are eased, will offer in-person services and operates within one of the non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, accommodation, gym and sports or personal care sectors.  

Simply complete this form and provide all of the evidence we need so we can work out what you may be eligible for and pay you as soon as possible.

If you have received a Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) from us, or you are awaiting a decision on your LRSG application, you do not need to complete this form.

If your business is not rated for business rates or has not been forced to close, but is severely impacted by Covid-19 restrictions, you may be eligible for an Additional Restrictions Grant

Before you start

Norwich City Council has been asked to process the grants on behalf of the Government and is required to hold specific data in order for payments to be made. Please make sure you have the relevant documentation detailed below close to hand as they contain information you will need to complete the form. You will need:

  • Your business rates bill 
  • Your VAT reference and company number, if applicable.
  • Your full business bank statement covering the months of February and March 2021. The statements must clearly show:
    • The sort code and account number
    • The account name (in the name of your business)
    • All transactions

Ensure you have your documents ready to upload and saved to your computer before you start. Files can be as PDFs, Word docs or as JPG images with a maximum size of 4MB. If the Upload button does not respond, you may be using a browser that is not compatible. Please try a different browser.

Any business that accepts this funding must confirm they comply with all the applicable Subsidy requirements.

Businesses that accept this funding must also provide information requested by the Local Authority to support monitoring and assurance. This can be done after the grant has been awarded.

Any business caught falsifying their records to gain grant money will face prosecution and any funding issued will be subject to recovery, as may any grants paid in error.

Important

When you start the form you must continue to the end and submit it. You only have 10 minutes to fill out each page and you will not be able to save the form and come back to it later.
