Plots are inspected regularly. Your first inspection will be about 3 months after you start.
Here’s what allotment officers look for:
- your plot number clearly marked
- weeds and grass under control
- at least 60% of your plot being used for growing (includes fruit trees and bushes)
- no brambles or overgrown grass
- no unnecessary waste or clutter
- a safe and tidy plot
